Module 3: Google

Google Inc. is an American multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, cloud computing, and advertising technologies. Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, often dubbed the "Google Guys", while the two were attending Stanford University as PhD candidates.

Google IS more than a search engine. Understanding ways to use Google gadgets to allow read to share online collaborations are essential to the 21st century classroom. With Google gadgets, teachers and can use and teach how to use Google docs to streamline and make collaboration easy. With Google gadgets, teachers can also:


Create a blog, iGoogle Page, web pages,
Promote organization, collaboration and productivity
Use online tools to organize, manage, and communicate with 21st Century skills
Collaborate with peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support communication and collaboration
